George J. Durham, Jr.

CFSP, CCO, CFSGM, President

George J. Durham, Jr., is a native of Greensboro, North Carolina. He is the only child of Dorothy Ann Durham and George J. Durham, Sr. 
 

Raised in Greensboro, North Carolina, George is a graduate of the historic Bishop McGuiness Catholic High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He is a 2012 graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, with a B.A. degree in Liberal Studies.  George also holds a degree in Funeral Service Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College, and is licensed by the state of North Carolina as a funeral director.
 

George is the General Manager of Hinnant Funeral Service in Greensboro, NC and is a past President of the Central District of the Funeral Directors and Morticians Association of North Carolina, of which he remains a member. In June 2017, George became the 57th and youngest state president. George is also a member of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc., and has served on the contracts and nominating committees, as well as the election commission. He has represented his state at the annual Administration and Finance and House of Representatives Meetings and now serves as the 68th National President of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc. 
 

Fraternally, George is an accomplished and achieved member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
 

George was raised in and is a member of the Mt. Zion United Church of God, Greensboro, North Carolina. He serves in several capacities in ministry and Christian Education as a Sunday School Teacher and whatever his hands find to do in ministry. He also serves as Chief Adjutant to the United Church of God, Inc.
