Jamye D. Jeter Cameron

Jamye D. Jeter Cameron, a native of Detroit, MI, is a third generation Mortician with over 35 years of personal experience. She has excelled in many facets of Funeral Service.  Jamye is the proud owner and manager of Jeter Funeral Home in Detroit.  She has also taught in various Funeral Service Education programs; Wayne State University; Lake Washington Institute of Technology; Northshore Community College; Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Gupton-Jones College and Vincennes College.  She was Program Chair of the Lake Washington and Northshore programs.  Jamye is the 64th Past National President of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc. She served as President from 2013-2015.  Jamye has a BS in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.  Jamye is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc; she serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rho Sigma Foundation and the Women of Inspiration; She is a member of the Sadie L. Palmer 400 Study Club, and she is a proud mother and grandmother.
